There is no allowlist. Older versions of WordPress for Cowork asked you to add your domain to a list of allowed domains inside Claude Desktop, then fully restart it. That step is gone — you add your site to Claude as a custom connector, and no domain list is involved.

What replaced it
- Install the plugin on your WordPress site.
- Paste your licence key in wp-admin → Cowork.
- Copy the connection address from that page, add it in Claude as a custom connector, and sign in to your own site to approve it.
No domain lists, no restart-to-refresh-the-cache, no setup command.
If something is blocking the connection
Because there is no allowlist, a connection failure is almost always your host or a security plugin blocking the request rather than anything on Claude’s side. Go to Cowork → Run the check in wp-admin first — it tells you which step failed. Then see Security plugin is blocking the connection, or the guide for your host.
