Jetpack’s brute-force protection occasionally challenges the WordPress for Cowork plugin calls. Two ways to handle it.

Temporarily disable Protect during setup

  1. Jetpack → Settings → Security → Protect.
  2. Toggle off during the initial connection.
  3. Toggle back on after pairing completes.

Or allowlist your IP

  1. Jetpack → Settings → Security → Protect → Whitelist.
  2. Add your Cowork desktop IP address.

Other Jetpack modules

Image CDN, Site Stats, Subscriptions, etc. don’t interfere with the WordPress for Cowork plugin. You can leave them all on.
