Cloudways exposes raw VPS-level WordPress, which is great — the WordPress for Cowork plugin is compatible out of the box. One setting to know about.
Application Firewall
Cloudways’ Application Firewall sometimes flags rapid REST calls (Claude running through a bulk task, for example). If you hit it:
- Cloudways Platform → Settings & Packages → Application Settings → Application Firewall.
- Add an allow rule for the
/wp-json/coworkmcp/route (or your own IP) so the firewall stops flagging Claude’s requests.
CDN
Cloudways’ CDN automatically bypasses REST API requests, so reads through Claude are always fresh.
Install
wp-admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, upload wordpress-for-cowork.zip, Activate. Then open wp-admin → Cowork, download your connector, and add it in Claude Desktop. Check the Cowork → Status page for green rows.
