Hostinger runs WordPress on CloudPanel / HestiaCP under the hood. Cowork Bridge installs cleanly and the REST API is open by default. There are two things worth checking before and after install.
Before you install Cowork Bridge
- Open hPanel → Websites → your site → WordPress → Tools.
- Look for the Security page. Some Hostinger plans disable XML-RPC and the REST API global flag together. Make sure REST API stays enabled.
- If Hostinger’s malware scanner has quarantined anything, check Security → Quarantined Files and restore any legitimate files there.
Install
Go to wp-admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, upload cowork-bridge.zip, then Activate. Visit Cowork → Status in your wp-admin sidebar — every row should be green.
Caching
Hostinger’s built-in page cache automatically bypasses REST API requests, so you don’t have to configure anything. Reads from Claude are always fresh.
If something breaks
If you suddenly see 403 errors on requests that used to work, check Security → Quarantined Files in hPanel. Hostinger’s malware scanner occasionally quarantines legitimate REST API calls. Restore the file and you’re back.
