/wp-comments reads, approves, replies to, edits, and deletes comments across your site. Great for catching up on a moderation queue without clicking through wp-admin one row at a time.
Common requests
- “List my pending comments and approve anything that’s clearly real. Mark obvious spam as spam.”
- “Reply to anyone in the queue who asked a genuine question — short, helpful, one paragraph each.”
- “Delete all comments with the word ‘crypto’ in them.”
- “Show me comments from the last 7 days flagged as spam — restore any false positives.”
What Claude shows you before acting
For destructive operations (delete, spam, trash), Claude lists what it’s about to do and asks you to confirm. You can say “yes, all of them” or “skip number 3 and 7, do the rest.”
Approving real-looking comments
Claude judges by content: short generic praise (“Great post!”) gets flagged. Substantive engagement (responding to a specific argument, asking a clarifying question) gets approved. You can tune this by saying “be more conservative” or “approve anything that’s not obviously spam.”
Replies
For replies, Claude reads the comment, drafts a reply in your voice (it picks up cadence from your existing replies), and asks you to OK each one before posting. Bulk approval: “yes to all the drafts you just showed me.”
